Hi there,
I don't know if you will personally ever read this but I had write my thoughts somewhere that had at least a chance of you seeing them.
The first thing I would like to say is that I have pretty much only just started listening to Helloween, specifically, Keeper's 1 & 2, Pink Bubbles and Chameleon. I love these albums and I love your voice! I am a very devoted Metal fan but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate non-Metal music which is why I can love all four of those albums equally. This brings me to my next topic. I read on one of your latest News sections "Michi's Impressions from first live-shows" details about why you left the Metal scene to do your own thing. And I must say that I understand completely. Some "Metalheads" can be very cold hearted and close minded to anything that isn't considered "True Metal" which is ridiculous. These people have made me question my devotion to Metal but then I remember why I am devoted in the first place, I love the music. My favourite genre is Power Metal, I do like some Black Metal/Death Metal but I don't follow their scene because they seem to take it way too seriously. This is why I respect what you're saying all the more. It's the minority of Metal fans that spoil it for some people. I have listened to your solo projects, mostly the 'KISKE' album and I must say that they are amazing.
I want to say one last thing, I am very saddened that the Metal community has left you bitter about the genre for this many years but me and my friend (who has been a massive fan of yours for many years) are ecstatic that you are returning to Metal with Unisonic! We are both happy that you have been reinspired and will definitely come to see you guys live if you tour anywhere near the United Kingdom! Thanks for your time, your music and just generally being awesome. |
