@ Melanie:
da ich auch im Forum als Schlauchkatze eingetragen bin, und zudem eine Mailadresse angegeben habe ist das nicht wirklich "anonym". Zudem stellt das zusätzliche anonym lediglich einen Bezug zu einigen früheren Einträgen her. Wenn mich jemand beissen will kann er das also jederzeit tun.

Hallo Michael! Ein paar unfrisierte Gedanken zu deinem Schatten:
Es gibt nunmal in jeder Szene ziemlich festgefahrene Gestalten, die der Meinung sind dass alles Schrott ist was sie nicht in ihrem eigenen CD-Regal stehen haben. Meine Erfahrung ist allerdings auch, dass sich da die Hard- und die Softfraktion die Klinke in die Hand geben was gegenseitiges Verständnis / Toleranz angeht. Ich finde die aktuelle Slayerscheibe (musikalisch) auch gelungener als dein Kiske-Album, was aber primär daran liegt dass ich die sonst tragende Dynamik (shadowfights etc.) etwas vermisse, und weniger, weil du diesmal komplett auf Moshparts verzichtet hast  .
Worauf ich aber eigentlich hinaus wollte ist, dass du ja auch erwähnst dass eine Hörerschaft vorhanden ist, welche jedoch noch nicht weiss dass es dich überhaupt gibt. Da stimme ich dir voll und ganz zu. So weit ich informiert bin hast du solo noch nie ein Konzert gespielt. Das ist aber nunmal der beste Weg um neue Leute zu gewinnen, und zeitgleich auch überhaupt in Medien erwähnt zu werden, ohne gleich eine immense Imagekampagne loszutreten. Du verweist ja im Bezug auf Konzerte immer darauf, dass man das von den Plattenverkäufen abhängig machen muss, und dass ohne gute Verkaufszahlen auch keine Tour möglich ist. Ich denke da hängst du doch noch etwas zu sehr in dem ganzen Businesskram drin wie du ihn vielleicht noch aus früheren Zeiten kennst. Bands oder Künstler die verhältnismäßig unbekannt sind können heute weniger denn je davon ausgehen, dass sich eine Platte schon irgendwie von selber verkaufen wird. Es läuft einfach verstärkt über Livepräsenz und die damit verbundenen Pressereviews, da viele Labels auch nicht die Kohle überhaben um flächendeckend zu werben. Wenn ich dein Schaffen nicht aus eigenem Interesse beobachten würde, hätte ich auch nicht mitgekriegt dass es eine neue Scheibe gibt.
Da du ja doch immer betonst dass du das ganze im erster Linie aus Liebe zur Musik machst, verstehe ich nicht wirklich, warum du nicht einfach hier und da mal ein paar Konzerte in kleinerem Rahmen gibst, um die Scheibe zu promoten? Da was auf die Beine zu stellen ist definitiv kein allzu schwieriges Unterfangen, wenn man sich denn damit abfinden kann nicht gleich eine landesweite Stadientournee zu starten. Ein halbwegs sorgfältig geplantes Einzelkonzert, beispielsweise im MTV-Unplugged Stil mit ein, zwei Kerzen und ein paar Einladungen an Presseleute könnte meiner Meinung nach durchaus eine hohe Resonanz hervorrufen. Und dass es hier nicht nur die Fischauktionshalle und den Laden gegenüber gibt hatte ich ja schonmal vor 2-3 Jahren erwähnt.
Mag sein dass sich das jetzt alles ein bisschen altklug und leicht gesagt anhört, aber ich denke die Grundintention ist in Summe verständlich.

Hi Michael
First of all to say, it doesn't matter to me what kind of musical direction you move into and release albums in; your voice in some way seems to be universal in my musical point of view, and I like everything you've ever released, written, and the projects you've taken part of. Being a wannabe-musician myself, you were and are an inspiration for me since I first listened to you.
I bought your freshly released CD's (was kind of surprised, that I've found them here in Hungary, especially because I've found'em next to eachother; but also admit I haven't seen any copies of them since...) about a month ago. Always liked Instant Clarity, the bonus tracks rule. I've read these "comments" on your new album, "Kiske". Some shouldn't have been posted. I've listened to it 'bout six or seven times by now, the first things that came into my mind were that the sound is beatiful, and that I wouldn't understand the record on my first attempt to do so. I was right. But! After listening to it again and again, although you obviously did not try to make something technically outstanding, I liked it better, than I expected; I sort o' tuned onto it, began to understand it, although it'll take s'more time to fully comprehend it. I must admit that I miss your singing in the higher registers, but this album is only coherent and full the way it is. So, congratulations, great work!
About the higher registers... not because I would want to recall a "Helloween-Kiske" or "metal-Kiske", but, as I mentioned, I miss your higher notes a bit. You said, that this new album represents you the most. Does this mean, that you will discontinue singing as you were used to? I'd like to think that by the making of this record you we're feeling like "hey-I-wanna-sing-low", and hopefully later on you'll also be in the mood of "man-lets-make-some-voice-exhibition". But who knows, right? I'll listen to your music anyway :-))
I don't know how much you like what you've recorded with Timo Tolkki, the "Key Of The Universe" song, but it doesn't differ from your IC themes so much, in fact, it resembles them a bit in my opinion. Man, you sure teached everyone on the globe on that song, HOW TO SING. Maybe more heavy guitars in that track than you would add, but anyway... I love that song and hope you enjoyed "creating" it as well.
OOhhh maybe a lil' too much text here that I've written :P
Wish you work and success that satisfies you well in the future, I'm curious to discover all of your releases coming on.
(Hab nicht auf Deutsch geschrieben weil ich nicht auf dem Wortschatz verfüge... oder vielleicht bin ich zu faul dazu) :P

I did´t buy your new album yet but i listened several times and i really love it. Im a big Helloween fan from your era but i also enjoy listening all what you do in your solo career.
I´ll hope you realize the project with your friend Kai & Roland.It would be great even playing flamenco
